Blood Sacrifice Freedom Never Forget Their Cost

wellness

"Paper and ink may outline the foundation and principles of this nation, but it is blood — only blood — that protects it." A tribute to Boone Cutler after his passing. The hosts from Badlands share what he meant to the movement — a brilliant mind who always had the answers, or if he didn't, made you ask the right questions. "This one hit hard."

It would not hurt you to take a moment to think of the relentless drain on family, friends, and loved ones that are left behind, sometimes for weeks, sometimes for months, sometimes for years, sometimes forever. Ideas are not protected by words. Paper and ink may outline the foundation and principles of this nation, but it is blood, only blood that protects it. In that dusty compound, a man you have never met gave everything he had so that you have the freedom to think, speak, and act however you choose. He went there for all of us, whether you loved or hated what he stood for. He went there to preserve the opportunity and privilege to believe, to be, and to become what we want. You have the choice every day as to which category you want to be in, in which direction you want to move. You have that choice because the best among us, the best we ever had to offer, fought and bled and died for it. Don't ever forget that. All right, good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to SitRep. Before we get this show started, today was a rough day. And Alpha and I, both after Badlands Daily this morning, found out that we lost not just an imperative person to this movement, but also a dear friend of both of ours. Somebody that was just absolutely an incredible human being, a brilliant mind, somebody that you could always go to for advice that always had the answers. Or if he didn't have the answer, he would make you ask the right questions. And we're talking about Boone Cutler and absolute travesty today to lose him and throw that up there. That was me and Boone back, I think around 2016 or so with a bunch of other war fighters. And man, this one hit hard, bro. It did. It does.
