Stop Fighting Understand Perspectives To Win

Information is available. It's, you know, don't, and don't just take, you know, this side's word for it or that particular show's word for it or that guest host or whatever. There's just so many, you know, there's so many sort of, you know, George Washington in his farewell address in 1796 said, beware of the fake, and it's my word fake, but he used, you know, a better word, but beware of the fake patriots. And, you know, what he was really talking about in that address was there are going to be people that you're going to come up, that are going to come into your life that are going to say, I'm on your side, I'm on your side. Or they're going to talk about patriotism. And you're looking at it going, that's not what I believe patriotism is. That's not, you know, the way our country was created. And that's not what I don't understand freedom to be. And before you... before you condemn it, understand it, and then go after it. Because there are a lot of people out there talking about, you know, things that are false, that are fake. And they're doing it on purpose to basically charge us, to emotionally charge us up. And we have to resist that urge. Go ahead, Boone. I was going to say frame of reference, you know. The way you stop a lot of the polarization is if you... spend a little bit of time trying to understand somebody else's frame of reference more than you spend your time convincing them of yours. Just spend a little bit of time trying to understand their frame of reference. You might find they're not so crazy. They come from a different background and everybody has a story, but understanding someone else's frame of reference more than you care about constantly imposing yours upon them. That changes the whole game. If both sides do that, it changes the whole game every single time. I agree with that. Absolutely. Because when the dust settles, we have to be able to get along. Don't back down from what you know is truth. And, you know, don't, don't let them kind of push a narrative or, you know, whatever it may be on you.
