"You have to understand a little bit about collecting human intelligence. Open-source intelligence. How to identify propaganda and what type it is." Boone on modern literacy — reading and writing used to be enough. Now you need HUMINT basics, OSINT skills, and the ability to sort propaganda by type. That's the new literacy. Without it, you're functionally illiterate in a 5GW environment.

you have to understand a little bit about collecting human intelligence. You have to understand at least a little bit about open source intelligence. You have to understand a little bit about how to identify propaganda and what type of propaganda it is. And these are big concepts, but you have to learn it because ultimately if people want to know how they should be thinking and believing, they have to identify what is truthful, believable, neither or both. Truthful, believable, neither or both. There's a lot of things you're going to see out there that are believable and you're going to want to run with it because it appeals to your emotions. It's already in line with what you think. And that's the game. You know, as a psyoper, was I really worried about truthfulness all the time? Yes. But I was more worried about believability. What is believable to the people, to the target audience in front of me? And how do I shift that? So it's the same thing. If you're biting on what is believable without discerning whether or not it is truthful, you're going down the wrong road. You cannot do that. And in order to determine what is truthful, you have to know in today's world, it's not like it was 1950. In 1950, if you were literate, it meant can you speak, read, communicate in the same language with the person in front of you that knows the same language. That was considered literacy. In today's world, literacy is can you identify truthful, believable, neither or both? That's literacy today. And what we share, what we permeate is that which is truthful, not that which is believable. It has to be truthful. This is how we break down the disinformation campaigns. Boone, I want to at least close on my part here by asking you the same question that I asked General Flynn, more of a personal psychological question. There are many Americans who have been through far less than what you've been through in your life. and yet they are sort of paralyzed because of trauma they've experienced or lack of confidence in what they can do going forward. For those listeners who know and for those who will eventually learn as a result of listening to our podcast, everything that you have done and experienced in your life, in your military service, your combat service, your injuries, your recovery, just everything that you've done, What is it that keeps you moving? What is it that gets you up every morning that allows you to overcome your own torment, your own demons, your own scars each day and to achieve the kind of victories that you have achieved and will continue to achieve going forward? Yeah, what keeps me going? One, I truly have, and I think it's equal with General Flynn, I have a very deep desire to bring honor to my family. And I have a very deep desire for that. And I was also, you know, whether by birth or by experience, I have knowledge, you know, I have capabilities and I believe it's everybody's duty to do all they can. Whatever that looks like, you know, whatever that looks like, if that looks like locking your doors at night and that's the best you can do, well, then you do that and take pride in that. If that looks like, doing something bigger, maybe running for public office or protesting a school board that's doing the wrong thing, well, then do that. But you got to be honest with yourself about what you can do. There's a lot of people go, oh, I can't do that. They're not being honest with themselves. They're really saying they don't want to do that or they're not willing to do that. So that's where it comes down to. And I think the thing that brings you beyond that desire to do it and actually making it happen is being part of a community that's doing what you want to do. So we've got to get back to our local communities and be part of our communities. That's where we find our strength.
